Zachary Woloff – 2025 District IV Award Recipient
Building a new Phi Kappa Psi chapter from the ground up while managing over $100,000 in investment portfolios isn’t typical for a college student — but Zachary Woloff Clemson ’25 isn’t typical.
As a Founding Father and current President of Phi Kappa Psi at Clemson University, Zach has led the chapter’s growth to 62 members in just one year. He started as Treasurer, managing the fraternity’s $40,000 budget and working with national representatives to create financial stability that supported recruitment, social events, and philanthropic initiatives. Now as President, he oversees all chapter operations while fostering the leadership culture that has made the new chapter successful.
But Zach’s leadership extends beyond the fraternity house. As Lead Equity Analyst for the Technology Sector in Clemson’s Orange & Regalia Fund, he manages a portfolio worth over $100,000, conducting research on Information Technology and Communication Services sectors and developing discounted cash flow models to guide investment decisions. His summer internship at Global Credit Advisers in New York gave him hands-on experience as a buy-side credit analyst in the high-yield bond market for a firm managing $1 billion in capital.
Zach also runs his own investment operation — Z. Woloff Funds — where he manages two long-only equity portfolios, researching companies and strategically allocating capital to maximize long-term wealth growth. His goal is to become a financial planner who helps families build financial security in today’s challenging economic environment of inflation and market volatility.
“One attribute of the Creed that deeply resonates with me is the commitment to ‘strive manfully for intellectual, moral, and spiritual excellence,'” Zach explains. “This means continuously pushing myself to grow in all aspects of life while helping those around me do the same.”
Whether building a fraternity chapter or building investment portfolios, Zach approaches every challenge with the same growth mindset and dedication to excellence that defines his commitment to both brotherhood and his future career in financial planning.
In 2025, Brother Woloff was awarded the Phi Psi Foundation’s District IV Award, recognizing students from District IV who demonstrate academic achievement, character, and commitment to their studies.
