Caiden Jeffries – 2025 District III Award Recipient
In just three semesters at Wabash College, Caiden Jeffries Wabash ’23 accomplished something remarkable: he was hand-selected as the sole recipient of a merit-based award to represent both Wabash College and Phi Kappa Psi at the Independent Colleges of Indiana conference in Indianapolis.
But for Caiden, representation means more than awards ceremonies. At the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County, where he works as a STEM instructor and homework facilitator, Caiden introduces young minds to “what it means to be a respectable fraternity man” and demonstrates how brothers should conduct themselves in their communities. During summer programs, he leads children through hands-on chemistry, physics, and memory activities that make learning about the world fun and engaging.
“I believe that when the kids look up to me as a role model, they see an example of what all fraternity members are meant to embody: respectable men who should strive to make a positive impact in their communities,” Caiden explains about his approach to mentoring youth.
Caiden’s leadership journey at Indiana Gamma has been rapid and comprehensive: brotherhood chairman, DEI chairman, chaplain, recording secretary, IFC representative, and now president. His political science major combined with foreign languages minor reflects his broader goal of developing the kind of leadership skills needed in today’s world.
“The world needs strong leaders more than ever,” Caiden reflects. “Leaders who are not only decisive and resilient but also have the ability to unify groups, helping people look beyond their differences and work towards a common goal.” His ultimate aspiration? Lead with purpose and give back to the communities that have helped shape him. He’s even considering a run for mayor of his hometown of Attica, Indiana, later in life in hopes of making a positive impact on the community that holds such a special place in his heart.
“I believe that to all I meet, wherever I go, I represent not only Phi Kappa Psi, but indeed the spirit of all fraternities,” Caiden quotes from the Creed. Whether working with children, leading his chapter, or representing his college, he understands that his actions reflect on the entire fraternity system.
In 2025, Brother Jeffries was awarded the Phi Psi Foundation’s District III Award, recognizing students from District III who demonstrate academic achievement, character, and commitment to their studies.
