Matthew C. Michelsen
Rhode Island '91

The Founder/Ombudsman of UNX, Matt takes on a variety of responsibilities ranging from rallying the troops to polishing UNX's image among peers and clients. He also contributes what he can to the strategy and vision of the company.

As a founder and principal of Embarcadero Securities, Matt built a client base of over 250 hedge funds and played an instrumental role in developing all aspects of Embarcadero's services. Matt has been working in the hedge fund industry for almost a decade.

He received his B.S. from the University of Rhode Island. He also is a general securities principal and registered options principal. Matt was an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army and resides in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with his wife Jenny and son Gunnar.
