John D. Klinedinst John received his B.A. in history, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in 1971, an M.B.A. in finance and investments from The George Washington University in 1975 and his J.D. from W & L in 1978. As an undergraduate at W & L, John was a member of the football team and the Student Activities Board. John is a founder and managing shareholder/CEO of the Southern California law firm of Klinedinst PC. He is very active in the greater San Diego community as a member of the California Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the American Bar Association (Sections on Torts and Insurance and the Standing Committee on Professional Liability), the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association, the Professional Liability Underwriters Society, the Defense Research Institute, the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the Greater San Diego Sports Association, the Executive Committee of San Diego, the San Diego Dialogue and the San Diego/Tijuana Sister Cities Society. John also has served many years as a member of the Virginia Beta House Corporation (W&L) and participated in the creation and installation of the San Diego State Chapter. He is an honorary member of the Order of the Coif. In May 1993 he was presented with the Washington & Lee Distinguished Alumnus Award and the 250th Chapter Honoree Award in May 1999. John and his wife, Cindy, live in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
