Frederick A. Hegele Fred comes to the Board after almost forty years with the General Mills Inc, completing his service as its Senior Regulatory Officer. During that time he distinguished himself as chairman or president of numerous professional organizations related to the quality and safety of food products, has been the recipient of many awards and has become an industry resource for companies around the world. He was initiated into Phi Kappa Psi at the Ohio State University, where he earned his B.S. in Food Technology. In 1977, Fred completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard University. He remains involved with the chapter as a member of its Campaign Committee, helping raise funds for a new chapter house. Now that he's retired, Fred will have more time to enjoy his five grandchildren, his work on several Boards and philanthropic projects as well as traveling, woodworking and gardening hobbies. But retirement hasn't slowed Fred down. He stays busy through his involvement in numerous charitable and philanthropic organizations supporting children, youth and the ministry. Fred and his wife Sharon make their primary residence in Plymouth, Minnesota.
