Goals and Objectives  
Goal 1: Scholarships to provide reward for academic excellence, to help men address the ever-increasing costs of higher education and to reduce dependence upon part-time employment are vital to the academic success and eventual graduation of many members.

Objectives:

  • The Foundation will make available national and chapter based scholarships and awards.
  • The Foundation will seek opportunities for individuals to endow new scholarships of their preference.
  • The Foundation will seek to publicize the outstanding academic achievements of our chapters and members.
  • The Foundation will attempt to find partnerships with academic institutions and agencies to help our members achieve their educational and professional potential.

Goal 2: The development of leaders and men of principle within our membership will help men grow as individuals, will benefit our chapters, campuses and communities and will prepare our members for their places in society.

Objective:

  • The Foundation will provide funding each year for qualified programs and training in leadership skills, values-based learning, healthy lifestyles and the promotion of philanthropy, democratic principles and free enterprise. These programs may include, but may not be limited to, all or a portion of the costs of the Woodrow Wilson Leadership School, Presidents Leadership Academy, Fraternity Educators Leadership Academy, Leadership Experience, Educational Leadership Consultant Program, AlcoholEDU program, the support of educational programs for alumni volunteers who work with undergraduates and the support of national or local charitable and philanthropic efforts which allow our members to make a direct, person-to-person impact on their communities.

Goal 3: Chapter properties must be healthy and safe facilities that promote learning, character-building, close friendships and loyalty to the organization and institution. They must be competitive with other housing options and provide students with the resources they need to succeed.

Objectives:

  • The Foundation will continue to work to find grants and other support to improve the living-learning environment of chapter houses.
  • The Foundation will continue to promote the Chapter Scholarship Fund (CSF) program to chapter house corporations, alumni groups, chapter members and all alumni and friends of Phi Kappa Psi.
  • The Foundation will work closely to provide leadership, ideas and support to groups who wish to use their CSF to raise reserve funds to improve chapter housing and create scholarships.
  • The Foundation will attend chapter and regional alumni events to educate members on the Foundation and the CSF program and encourage their support and investment.
