Activate Your Brotherhood  

Be active! Take time to reengage with the Fraternity that helped to define who you are today. Whether you have an hour a year to volunteer or provide support through a financial gift, all are welcome! Activating your brotherhood can take any of the following forms.

  1. Send a long lost pledge brother an email
  2. Mentor an undergraduate “Century Brother”
  3. Volunteer to serve on a National Scholarship Committee
  4. Sponsor a fundraising challenge for a local chapter
  5. Watch the big game with your alumni brothers or with a local chapter
  6. Invite a group of undergraduate brothers out to dinner
  7. Give career advice to a brother interested in your field
  8. Attend a chapter meeting
  9. Start an annual camping trip
  10. Encourage your alumni and undergraduate brothers to vote in the upcoming election
  11. Volunteer to lead a clean up crew for a local chapter
  12. Allow an undergraduate brother to job shadow you for a day
  13. Attend Founders Day in your area
  14. Offer to pay the registration fee for undergraduates who want to attend GAC
  15. Help a brother receive internship training
  16. Underwrite the costs of an undergraduate attending the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI)
  17. Organize a Spring Cleaning day at a local chapter
  18. Start a canned food drive in coordination with a local chapter
  19. Help a recent graduate find employment
  20. Host a recruitment event at your lake house
  21. Spend time playing pool or throwing darts at a local chapter house
  22. Purchase an undergraduate brother’s books for a semester
  23. Volunteer to assist a new colony in your area
  24. Wear your badge to work twice a year
  25. Join a summer softball league with your brothers
  26. Attend a recruitment event for a local chapter
  27. Participate in a local chapter’s homecoming events
  28. Attend a basketball game with your brothers
  29. Locate and communicate with your brothers on Facebook
  30. Join a Phi Psi group on Yahoo! Groups
  31. Sponsor a new study room for a local chapter
  32. Donate a new computer to a local chapter
  33. Help renovate an area of a local chapter’s facility
  34. Become a Chapter Advisor
  35. Update your contact information (address, email, phone, etc.) with your chapter and the headquarters
  36. Start an Alumni Association in your area
  37. Plan an alumni vs. undergraduate bowling night
  38. Communicate with an undergraduate brother via email four times a year
  39. Invite an undergraduate brother over for a home-cooked meal with your family
  40. Sponsor the exterior landscaping for a local chapter
  41. Organize an “entering the business world” seminar for graduating brothers
  42. Plan an alumni golf outing
  43. Have your company match your gift to the Phi Psi Foundation
  44. Host a fishing trip
  45. Write an article for a chapter newsletter
  46. Join the national mentoring program
  47. Plan a 5K race for a local charity
  48. Donate to your chapter or a local chapter’s scholarship fund
  49. Sponsor an undergraduate’s expenses for the Presidents Leadership Academy
  50. Start an annual pledge class weekend trip
